Our 7-Step Strategic Plan

Phase One: Establish Goals
Meet with the client’s team to understand goals and deliverables, and how they will be measured. Often in our discussions, we find that by asking questions we reframe the situation and issues, and new goals and deliverables emerge. It is also key to agree in advance as to what success looks like and what the KPIs will be.

Phase Two: The “Brain-Up” Process
- We study the client’s current research, relevant data, programs, activities, communications, and marketing materials.
- We study our clients’ competitors and ascertain what we can learn from them.
- We run informal interviews with the client’s key members.
- We conduct our own secondary research, etc.

Phase Three: Insights
In Phase Three, we come together as a team to review, synthesize, and process the information and data we have gathered in the first two phases. We ‘read the tea leaves’ and dig deep into what we have learned. We then share these findings with our client. This step is the driver for our strategic marketing plan.

Phase Four: Strategy
The research and insights drive the strategy and can cover new products or services, how to improve products, new potential client categories, how to improve marketing spend, how to better position the company, and so on.

Phase Five: Action Plan
Depending on the mandate and our findings, our strategic recommendations and subsequent action plans will address:

Phase Six: Execute
- We assemble the best team of Avengers.
- In this phase, we focus on the execution of the strategies. This is done with an eye to optimize mid-stream, where possible.

Phase Seven: Measure & Refine
All marketing plans must be measured against benchmarks to ensure that goals and objectives are being met. A final report of our analysis is given post-execution to the client, which includes KPI evaluation and recommendations.
